Psalm 139:14 reminds us that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. God crafted every part of us with purpose and intention. We are not here to fit into someone else’s mold, we are here to walk in the path God designed just for our personal self.
We should not be moved by praise, and we definitely should not be shaken by criticism. Galatians 1:10 says that if I were still trying to please people, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ. That hits home for me. My goal is to honor Him in everything I do, not to win a popularity contest.
I walk in confidence, not because I have it all together, but because I know the One who holds me together. God has equipped me for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17), and the work He began in me—He’s faithful to complete (Philippians 1:6).
So no, I’m not waiting for permission or approval. I’ve already been called, chosen, and affirmed by the One who matters most.
Prayer of Confidence and Identity in Christ
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by Your hands (Psalm 139:14). You formed me with intention and purpose, and nothing about me is accidental. Thank You for calling me to serve as a counselor, to uplift and guide others through Your wisdom and love.
Lord, I release the need for human validation. Your Word in Galatians 1:10 reminds me that my goal is not to please people, but to be a faithful servant of Christ. Help me to stay grounded in that truth when opinions try to distract me or when rejection attempts to shake my purpose.
You have fully equipped me for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17), and I trust that Your Spirit within me is more than enough. I stand on Your promise in Jeremiah 1:5, that before I was formed in my mother’s womb, You knew me, called me, and set me apart. Let that truth be the foundation of my confidence.
Even when I feel inadequate, I choose to believe that the good work You have started in me, You will complete (Philippians 1:6). Thank You for being my strength, my assurance, and my source of boldness. I walk in my calling with courage, knowing that You go before me and stand beside me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
