"Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you. Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, and lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; you will remove iniquity far from your tents."
These verses are a heartfelt invitation to draw near to God. In a world filled with distractions, worries, and uncertainty, the Lord continually calls His children into a deeper relationship with Him. To "acquaint yourself with Him" means more than simply knowing about God—it means spending time with Him, learning His ways, seeking His presence, and growing in intimacy with Him.
Notice the promise attached to this invitation: "and be at peace." True peace is not found in circumstances, finances, relationships, or achievements. Real peace comes from knowing the One who holds all things in His hands. The closer we walk with God, the more we trust Him, and the more His peace guards our hearts and minds.
Verse 22 encourages us to receive God's instruction and treasure His Word. God's Word is not merely information; it is transformation. When we store His Word in our hearts, it shapes our thoughts, guides our decisions, strengthens our faith, and helps us recognize His voice.
Verse 23 reminds us that returning to God brings restoration. Perhaps there have been seasons of spiritual dryness, compromise, disappointment, or distance. The Lord's invitation is not one of condemnation but of restoration. He promises that if we return to Him, we will be built up. God specializes in rebuilding what has been broken, strengthening what has become weak, and restoring what has been lost.
Today, God is not asking for perfection. He is inviting you into fellowship. He desires your heart, your attention, your trust, and your obedience. As you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you.

Father, I desire to know You more deeply. Help me to become acquainted with Your heart, Your voice, and Your ways. Teach me to treasure Your Word and to walk in obedience to Your instruction. Search my heart and reveal anything that hinders my fellowship with You. As I draw near to You, fill me with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and rebuild every area of my life according to Your will. Thank You for always welcoming me back with grace and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Just A Reminder
The answer to many of life's struggles is not found in striving harder, but in knowing God better. The closer you walk with Him, the clearer His voice becomes, the stronger your faith grows, and the deeper your peace remains.
